Dr. Stephen Yang grew up in the Bay Area and attended the University of California at Los Angeles where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, graduating with Highest Honors. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Yang attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he completed his thesis and obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, graduating with Honors. As his goal was to practice orthodontics, Dr. Yang then moved to Los Angeles and completed his orthodontic training at the University of Southern California. While at USC, he also obtained a Master’s of Science in Craniofacial Biology for his work on one-phase versus two-phase treatment in patients with large overbites.
Dr. Yang is a Board Certified Orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, San Mateo County Dental Society, American Dental Association, and California Dental Association. He is also a member of the local Kiwanis Club and Redwood City Chamber of Commerce.
